SE Health joins the CAN Health Network

The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business and Export Promotion announces the establishment of the CAN Health Network

The Government of Canada announced the support for a $20-million project proposal to scale up companies in health and biosciences. This will be done through an initial $7-million investment to support the establishment of the CAN Health Network with its first network partners.

SE Health is thrilled to be a part of the CAN Health Ontario Network, led by Trillium Health Partners (THP) and will work together with 9 Edges. Edges and partners in the network will share results and in certain areas purchase new technologies, together. This will result in better products and faster market access because they have been co-designed with the end users (doctors, nurses and health care experts) and most of all a significant market to scale these products.

“SE Health is thrilled to join the CAN Health Network – leveraging the strength of partnerships, this collaborative program builds on our goal of creating an innovative, future-focused approach to health care and finding new ways to support the health of people in their own homes and communities.”
– Shirlee Sharkey, President and CEO, SE Health.

The CAN Health Network aims to bridge the gap with technological ventures to leverage innovative solutions to improve patient care. The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business and Export Promotion made the announcement on Monday, July 23, surrounded with partners, including SE Health.
