Making An Impact in Celebration of our 115-Year Anniversary
SE Health is making an impact during its 115-year anniversary.
As a not-for-profit, social enterprise and one of Canada’s largest health care organizations, SE Health has always been at the forefront of care and innovation, serving people in need and impacting millions of lives across Canada.
To celebrate this special milestone, SE Health has been running a year-long, organization-wide impact initiative that promotes bringing hope and happiness to communities across Canada.
The organization gives each participating team $1,115 to spend collectively on a ‘giving back’ initiative of their choice. The choice can be to sponsor a community event or donate to a local charity.
SE Health has allocated for up to 30 submissions for the organization, donating over $30,000. Participating teams are choosing to give back to charities and initiatives across the country.
Laura Smith, Program Coordinator at SE Health, and participant in the Impact Initiative says, “We’ve embraced the ‘115 Initiative’ as a means to express our gratitude and bring joy to the residents of these facilities. We are very grateful for this opportunity.”
The Hamilton Acute Care Transitions Team says, “This was such an exciting endeavor for our team. Everyone was engaged and said this was the best team building exercise we have ever done. The people we helped warmed our hearts and they were so thankful! We would like to do it again every year in some capacity.”
As SE Health celebrates this milestone, they reflect on their amazing history and look to the future with a renewed commitment to their values of life care, love, and work with purpose. The organization plans to expand its services, grow and scale new models of care, and further innovate in response to the growing and changing health care needs of Canadians.
SE Health’s commitment to its mission and values ensures that it will continue to make a positive impact in the lives of Canadians for many years to come.
