During its 115-Year anniversary, SE Health, a not-for-profit social enterprise and one of Canada’s largest health organizations, has been awarded on the Forbes list of Canada’s Best Employers for Diversity 2024.

This prestigious award is presented by Forbes and Statista, the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.

Canada's Best Employers for Diversity were identified in an independent survey from approximately 40,000 professionals from all industry sectors employing more than 500 people within Canada. The evaluation was based on the following three criteria:

  • Personal Recommendations: Recommendations given by employees.
  • Public Recommendations: Recommendations given by friends and family members of the employees, or members of the public who work in the same industry.
  • Diversity KPIs: Respondents were asked to review their employer across various diversity-related topics: General Diversity, Gender, Ethnicity, Sexual Orientation, Age, and Disability.

The consideration of data from a three-year period allowed a robust differentiation between organizations that consistently perform well in the field of corporate diversity, from those that may only have had a good year. Each question is also weighted to reflect the respondent’s membership within the relevant diversity group.

With a deep and foundational commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Anti-Oppression (DEIA), SE Health, a People Everything organization, is honoured to be recognized on the Forbes list of Canada’s Best Employers for Diversity 2024. Committed to making an impact in all areas of its organization and in its communities across Canada, SE Health continues to be an employer of choice and nurture its DEIA strategy and journey, while putting people first.

“As we celebrate this award and our milestone anniversary, we reflect on the incredible impact we are making through our people, by bringing hope and happiness to the individuals, families and communities we serve,” said John Yip, President and CEO at SE Health. “Looking to the future, we remain committed to fostering Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Anti-Oppression, ensuring that SE Health continues to make a difference for the next century and beyond.”
