Back October 12, 2018 SE Health is celebrating Community Care Workers week & Home Support Week from October 15th – 19th. This week celebrates the great care and practice our Personal Support Workers (PSWs), Health Care Assistants (HCAs) and Community Health Workers (CHWs) provide every day across the country.

Community Care Workers (CCWs) care for and support their clients in hospitals, long-term care homes, retirement homes, supportive living environments and in the client’s home. CCWs get to know their clients and their families, including their interests and needs. They help with personal care, light housekeeping and also complete many medical procedures that clients can no longer do for themselves. 

The care, compassion, experience, qualities, and skills that our Community Care and Home Support Workers add to the overall care experience which they provide for our clients, their families, and their communities are greatly valued and appreciated.
