Dr. Agnes Thomas is an executive leader and strategic advisor with more than 20 years of experience across the not-for-profit and community sectors. Her work centers on advancing equity, strengthening organizations, and leading system-level change to improve outcomes for diverse and underserved populations.
Agnes brings deep expertise in governance, change management, and community-informed program design. Her leadership experience spans frontline service, senior management, and board-level roles. A respected educator and facilitator, she designs and leads learning initiatives that support leadership development, workforce engagement, and organizational transformation.
She holds a PhD in Adult Education and Community Development, with interdisciplinary training in disability studies and social development. Her research and practice address migration, disability, urban community development, and the social determinants of health. Known for bridging policy, practice, and people, Agnes helps organizations navigate complexity while staying grounded in equity, dignity, and care. She currently leads Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Toronto.
